Other than being in good shape and a loader, is there something about this model or year that makes it special? Or did someone get a little crazy bidding, as people do sometimes.

I thought the same thing but the article said the money was transferred. Like others I can't understand the logic IF the guy wants a working tractor, not a collector's item. Buy a brand new one for that price.

This being an antique tractor site and based on the on the amazement of some here apparently many have yet to understand some tractors are very collectable and rarity can determine price. What actually is it? To me it looks like an 806 International painted yellow. If so there is nothing rare about it.
