I have an old German made 056 that has a bad coil the dealer says is obsolite. Does anyone know where i can find one? Thanks

There is a complete Bosch Electronic ignition including flywheel for a Stihl 056 on Ebay.

Contact Hahn Enterprises in Johnson NE...this guy has tons of NOS and obselete chainsaw parts.

I just took my dads 031 AV stihl into the shop. Been sitting for 15 years. I hope they can get it to run. He said i hope it isnt a coil. There spendy.

Do you know what "spendy" is?? Just found them on ebay here for 44 euro ($50+/-) Dealer may be a little more. Gotta go there in a few minutes and will ask. Looks like quite a few share the same part (??).

The one in the link seems to be some aftermarket thing (50+/- a couple bucks). Buddy at the dealer says it may or may not work. They have the original on hand but it IS pricey I guess (??) about $130. I can help you out if you want (postage will be around 5 bucks).... You gotta know if the saw is worth it.

See if this link helps you. It's in english for the most part.. Seems the other link I posted is the replacement coil for this setup??

If you are getting one for $130, I guess you are OK (as a comparison to here)...

sorry i didn't respond sooner. I came down with pnomonia then had to take my son to boy scout camp. I'll try these sights first. thanks for the info.
