New Holland 660 Baler

I have a New Holland 660 baler, the long drive chain on the left side jumps at times and I cannot figure out what is going on. Has anyone ever had this problem and if so what did you find. Thanks

How's the gears on the rollers? That's usually the wear point.

Don't move ANYTHING and replace the chain with a new one. They will 'stretch' with age and start to catch the top of the gear and hop some. Quite often, a new chain will solve a lot of ptoblems. Hint: Do not replace any chain with the cheapest replacement you can find. Decent chain will cost a few dollars more, but will give you far batter and longer service life. And, keep it lubed- it will last much longer.

Keep a close eye on the sprockets. if they wear and the tips get sharp it will put extra wear on the new chain.
