My jumbo X rocks are 5 weeks old yesterday. 60 of 'em goin through about 100 lbs of feed a week, 5 gal of water a day and all the bread they can eat. Gonna be some fine eatin' though!

Those are nice looking birds. They are about the size of mine and they are 8 weeks!

There is sure nothing like home grown meat hens they taste so much better than store bought hens I was going to get some chickens this spring but I didn"t get it done

I would love to have some of my own if I could find someone to butcher them.
Sorry I just do not see myself spending a afternoon killing and plucking 60 chickens.

From the grass looks like you are using a moveable pen. How is that working out for you??

The pen is 40 ft long and the chickens hang out by the food, water and the trailer they sit under. So I move those essentails a few feet every week. I am now almost down to then end , so it is time to move the whole pen another 40 feet to start all over on fresh grass. keeping them on fresh grass makes a world of difference.

nothing tastes better than FREASH chicken ..

I made a small chicken plucker ... BOy is that the answer ... only used it a couply times ... but I can pluck a chicken in a min or 2 ...

next year I will get a few more ... now i got a pluckker ...

it was easy to make ...
