Mother nature is teasing us

Went out to check for eggs and noticed that the duck pond in the chicken pin had drops hitting it as in rain. So we are getting teased sure wish she would stop teasing and really let loose of the rain for a few hours say maybe a good inch a day for the next week

We all need it but my brother that lives at Louisburg, MO says its the driest he can remember since he moved there. I was in East KS last week and when I got back to TX 93 degrees felt like a cool breeze.

We got teased here too, I was in shop and heard something on roof, looked out and it was sunny. The rain was coming down in the bright sun.

Central Missouri as in where. Here just south of Camdenton is where we are getting teased. Have had thunder off and on this afternoon and a few drops as in 12 inches between them and that is it

Least your getting a tease. The wind has shifted to the north and no rain was received.

We are behind 1988 for rain.

heavy T-storm slipped north of us thru Lancaster, PA, we got about 2 drops. The area we are in is historically known as the York Barrens. T-storms seem to miss the area regularly when its dry.

Hey old, your not the only one. Here in Sedalia it got a bit cloudy and breeze picked up but not a bit of rain, could sure use some. I still plan on getting down to see you one of these days.

It may be called the York Barrens, but lack of rain isn't why. But we got the same teaser here just south of the Mason Dixon. Just enough rain or spit to get the maple sap off the windshield on theway home. Maybe some later= looks like something may be building in the mountains.

Yesterday evening we were on the way home from a town near us. It was raining there, not hard, just a nice steady drizzle. As we drove down the highway, the rain gradually got lighter until about a quarter mile from our place. Still bone dry up by our gate and everywhere else for that matter.

By the way, can someone explain the really strong smell which comes up when it rains on soil that has been really dry for a long time?

We had just enough yesterday 1 miles south of Palmyra MO, to wash the bugs from the windshield. My high today was 107 at 2:30 PM, down to 80 at midnight.

Wife said it was 105 today at our home in Monroe county, northeast Missouri. Glad I'm in Trinidad in the south Caribbean. Only mid to upper 80's here and afternoon rain showers every day.

Just south of the Mizzery line we are still dry. The local water depts. are asking for voluntary water rationing. We have 5 rivers that run through the county and 1 of them has run dry. 14 months ago we were 10' under water but we haven't had a good soaker since. It was 109 yesterday but supposed to cool down. I sure hope some rain comes with it.

S.C. nebraska we have a very, very light shower this morning. Looks like it's gonna fizzle out before any measurable precip.

I noticed most of the afternoon the smell of rain but yet not enough to say we got any. Odd how you can in fact smell rain that is one it way or not making it to the ground but yet is falling up higher but then evaporates before it hits the ground
