Anybody know any good factory tours say within 40 miles of Columbus or Cambridge Ohio. Does Paccar give tours? Thanks in advance. J.

Since 9/11 plus workplace shootings, most factories including the one I retired from, have tightened up security. They seldom allow non employees access.

Been a while, but I think they are still there... Rocky boot Factory in Nelsonville
(60 miles?) Was always interesting... Make a day/weekend of it and enjoy the Hocking Hills area. Used to have the old steam train rides, and other goodies...
Gettin homesick now

Airstream gives tours of their factory. They are located in Jackson Center about 90 minutes West of Columbus. See their website for details. Went through there in March, Nice tour.

The US Air Force Museum is open 9-5 on Wright Pat AFB. Prepare to spend all day. It is amazing. Admission is free.

But if you wear bifocal or trifocal glasses do not count on being able to read any of the signs if it is still like last time I was there, They were all 20 feet above the floor and try tipping your head back enough to see the sign and then focus thru the reading part that far away, can't be done.
