considering a IH B250 - opinions?

I haven't found too much on this machine - if the brakes are adequate I'd like to just use it to power the elevator, and maybe skid some logs. If the brakes need work, anyone know how complicated work is or a parts source?
Price is right.

i had one put new discs on it didnt work to bad for a while then back to the same old thing. i now have a 434 same brake design works great i dont know why. gerald

did you replace the seal on the shaft ?? My german one (same brakes) was the same way, washed the brakes good with gasoline, replaced the seals, and it was fine....
