Thought I would try it again. Must be my camera. Things don't appear as good as they do to the naked eye.

Sure enough. After looking at the pictures on here, I just went back out and looked. My buildings are about 2000' straight north, at the end of the grass. They look about half size on here.
Looking west(down slope) across the oats, just to the right of the barn roofs you can just catch a glimpse of the blue of Cayuga Lake. About 3 miles west @384' MSL. (I am at about 750')
Looking up slope across the corn, the old homestead buildings are clearly visible a mile east on the crossroad. Can't hardly see them on here.

Bob I like that runway but a tad short for a T38. You don't see much oats grown in central Indiana these days. Grandpa grew them when I was a kid. Corn looks real good!

But how much did Doolittle need for a B25?
Yes, oats are almost a specialty crop, so marketing them has been no problem, there's huge demand for straw here, and I know I have a place to plant winter wheat.
Those springs(like last year) when I can't hardly get on the ground in May, I like having at least something out there growing!

Beautiful countryside you have there.

Sometimes 2 dimensional photos just don't do justice to the beauty of the surrounding area.

Photos look good to me.

Thanks for sharing them with us.

Fairly busy now.Earlier this year was slow.Never no what the next month will bring.I guess it is kind of like your business.

Bob,
Nice pics. Our crops have done reasonably well here. As you know, we planted oats back in early March, however they are not tall and heavy. Moisture will determine their yield at this point. We have had some timely showers, but only one real soaker since March. The second cut alfalfa is green, but all the crops, corn, beans, and hay are showing signs of stress from the lack of rain, especially this week with the heat and afternoon winds.
