So what's your point? Just a normal summer. Hot and dry.

Glad I'm within sight and down wind of Lake Huron. The water
drops the air temp 5-15 degrees in the summer and raises the
fair temp 5-15 degrees in the winter.

It was over 100 here in SC yesterday, at this time, 12:30. Next 2 days forecast is for 102, then "cooling off" into the 90s.

KEH

Hot an dry here in Missouri been weeks since we saw rain and the temps have been 95 plus for the last couple weeks. A lot of cities are putting out fireworks bans due to it being to dry to safely light fireworks. Down in the south east part of Missouri close to Mark Twain park there has been a big fire that has burned 100 plus acres and last I heard was still burning

Over 100deg for three days in a row is not normal here. 104, 102 and 104 right now.

The point is that it rarley if ever exceeds 105 here for more than 5 days a year and it has already done so for nearly a week straight. Furthermore pastures are burnt up, ponds are drying up, crops are burnt up and equipment is being tested to the limit to continue bailing hay. Anyone who works outdoors on a consistant basis can see the point. There is little hope of making a living this year, just praying that we can hold on to go agian next year.

Does it get humid in Kansas like it does in Ohio? I can"t imagine 117 plus humidity. That would be nearly unbreathable air. We had 96 on Thursday, 94 yesterday and 93 today. Heard it was near or over 100 in Southern Ohio. Got a light rain last night and again today but the ground soaked it right up, if it didn"t evaporate as soon as the sun hit it. I don"t think we"ve had a summer like this here since 1988. No rain for over 3 months that year. And after last year being so wet.

I think the humidity is higher in the eastern part of the state than it is out here further west.
Right now they're saying the humidity is 22%.

Yeah,... I don't know how some of the livestock take the heat. Our creek quit flowing several weeks ago, and the ponds are drying up.

I watched a coyote getting a drink at my pond this morning, then he trotted south a little ways but turned back towards the pond again for a 2nd. drink before finally leaving.
