OT: '92 Deville compressor bearing

My only car started making noise today on the way to work. Made it the 35 miles each way and then looked under the hood. My serpentine belt is in tatters and the AC compressor pulley is making a heck of a racket and can move in and out on the pump some. This is my only vehicle till a friends loaner next week. Is there any way to make it limp along till next monday? I know I have got to put a new serpentine belt on in the AM to make it to Grand Rapids, but is it likely to make it there and back Friday and Saturday?
The AC doesnt work, and isnt a big deal but how hard a job is it to pull and replace the compressor? Appreciate any help.

Had to be hot today! I'm about 35 miles NE of GR.
If the air doesn't work, do you know anyone that has a junk compressor you can bolt on? Even an idler pulley would work.
Some cars you could get away with taking the pulley/compressor off and routing a shorter belt direct to the next pulley, but I don't know if it would work in your car.

Good luck!

I am over in Ravenna. Gotta make it in to Plainfield some how. I am a manager at Family Farm and Home on the north end of Plainfield. Ugh tomorrows gonna be interesting.

One chance, buy the belt for a car without the A/C and see if you can get it on the car.
