I left my truck at the tune-up shop this morning. They replaced the wires, and plugs, and everything came in ok, and passed smog. I could have replaced the plugs and wires my self, but I have gone down that road before, only to have it still fail the test. The best part I didn't need a cat. Still cost 275.00 plus the smog check, but I'm good for two years now. Stan

Great news! Things keep going the way they are and we will be taking our horses and cows in to see if their tail pipes are emitting bad fumes!

Stan, aren't the plugs platnum coated tips (electrodes) in magnum engines? I thought so, or seems to me that I heard or read that somewhere. Not like the old days when you could simply go down to the auto part store and buy your favorite brand of resistor or non-resister plugs, I understood. One day, my diesels will be required to get smogged, and when that day comes, I will go postal.

Anyway, all is well that ends well, or however that goes.
