That's what I thought, I haven't seen that many Massey Harris' since the national Massey show was in Hughesville Pa about 7 or 8 years ago.

A neighbor operated one of those cross feed JD balers back in the early 1950s, wire tie, and powered by a v4 Wisconsin motor.

A twine tie, pto drive sat in a yard a couple of miles from my house for many years. It finally disappeare, probably scrapped.

Massey Harris had their assembly plant in Toronto, Canada,Back in those days. This show was in Lindsay,Ontario, Canada, About 70 miles from the plant. There where a lot of farmers that had Massey Harris stuff ,seemed every town of 800 or so people had a dealership. Our town did when I was a kid, but Dad had a stronger liking for Case or Allis, go figer!

We used a JD side kick for about 4 years until we discovered what we already knew. Namely, New Holland made a far superior baler for about $500 less. That ended the JD with its bent bales, wheels that had to be welded back together twice a year because of the side loads imposed on them, etc. Also the end of wire tied bales. The NH used twine. 10 bales a minute. NH made the best baler of its time. Probably still does. Haven't baled hay in 45 years.

D@MN i wish i had of known about this show, I was in Port Perry at the girlfriends all weekend and we were looking for something to do today. We ended up at the Scugog museum and going strawberry picking

Steve , the old school that is the main building at the museum, was one of the two schools on Scugog Island that I didn't learn to spell in. Lived, and farmed on the Island for 42 years. We where the last dairy farm on the Island to ship milk.
