First, to whomever posted the link to "Senior Moments - Brain...". THANKS! Really funny - husband loved it! Kids too! Cannot locate it again, but saved the link.

Second, here's a link for anyone who has ever bought a vehicle (or maybe a tractor) through the classifieds... CW McCall "Classifieds". Husband remembered this old song and we bought a copy of it.
CW McCall CLASSIFIED

When I'm on my death bed and don't even know my own name, that one will still be stuck in my head. I've been doing that one in local variety shows for going on 30 years.
Along with Wolf Creek Pass,Old Home Fill'er Up and Keep on Truckin Cafe,Crispy Critters and Black Bear Road. Among other various stories.

Gtractorfan,

On iTunes... CW McCall "Classifieds" (think I forgot the ending s in my origina post). CW also does a song called "Crispy Critters" that is funny.

And you may enjoy a song by Red Simpson called, "I'm a Truck"... it is really neat too.

Another great song is "Junk Food Junky"... it is awesome.

Sadly the singer of Senior Moments does not sell his music on iTunes, so that one is not available. :(

You may be able to preview them all on youtube. Lots of times we listen to them there before we buy - because iTunes only lets you hear a short sample. *We buy songs and make our own CDs - so we never have to hear a commercial when we are hangin' in the shop.

JDSeller,

Ummm, maybe... I'm not sure. I think I just put the milk away in the microwave - better go check! Now, what was I gonna do?

Seriously, thanks so much for posting the link. I think it sounds even clearer than the previously posted link. Thanks again.

rrlund,

Really cool that you can sing - how fun.

Yes, we have purchased a bunch of old songs like this. It amazes me that my husband can remember them... a lot of them were on the radio when we were just little kids. He's one of those guys who hears something once in a song or a movie and he can remember it.

Those were all popular back when I was driving milk truck and all the entertainment there was was AM radio. Repetition burned them in to my head forever.

A little aside to that,Chip Davis who was CW McCall also is the leader of the band Mannheim Steamroller.

Great link, I just spent over an hour hopping from one to another vidio. Better than GAC, as I can choose what I want to watch and listen to.
We and another couple went to Allentown PA back in early 80s. Cletus Maggert was performing there and he fell off the front of the stage, and had to regroup before he continued on with his show. Red Sovine was also there. The 4 of us had a really great time at the truckers show, sponsered by Mack Trucks. That was back in the " good old days" LOL

Adirondack case guy,

Yes, youtube is fun. We spend a lot of time in the winter looking at music videos.

Also, husband recently remembered the Bud "Real Men of Genius" commercials, so we looked them up at a family gathering and everyone thought they were fun. Some have video - some only audio if they only got radio airplay. But it was a great advertising ploy.

rrlund: I hate to tell you but Chip Davis is not CW McCall.

C. W. McCall is the pseudonym of William Dale Fries, Jr. He was born here in Iowa.

Chip Davis and Fries worked together on several songs and commercials. Fries sang and wrote the lyrics and Chip Davis, later of Mannheim Steamroller, wrote the music.
