Nice rain in Eastern Iowa

We had 5.2" here in Eastern Nebraska a week ago and another inch a couple of days ago.

Both were badly needed. I don't think hardly any of the 5.2 ran off.
 
We got 1" friday morning but also got hail and high winds. The corn got beat up and is leaning bad but should straighten up. My home place has had 3 rains this year and hail with all 3. S.c. nebraska.
 
It is so dry down here in Missouri you can see a cow take a fart 500 yards away because that is the cow that has a cloud of dust around it. Last night on the weather they said we where almost 7 inches behind for the year
 
We are going to abstain from coming to the lake this year. The water is never good when it has been that dry. There is not enough flow to keep it clean.

We should go to Minnesota, they have gotten a ton of rain.
 
Ya been so hot and dry here that if your where to go to the lake it would smell bad very vary bad. Just driving close to it you can in fact smell it and that is not good. The ponds and all are also starting to hurt big time and the price of hay will most likely get up real high by winter if we do not get some real rain soon
 
2.5 miles southwest of Mechancsville.

We got 3 to 4 inches of rain, high winds and pea sized hail about 7:30 this morning.

Corn and beans dont look good today.
