Late Potatoes

I have a little space yet unplanted in the Garden. I see a couple new varieties offered. Typically would not see frost till mid October. Suggestions?

Just planted my late potatoes this week, and thats in Ky. They are the Kennebec variety and seem to be a little longer maturity than some varieties. Did wait until the middle of July in the past to plant but they nearly always liked a little getting to maturity before frost came.

Our normal killing frost is aroud the 20th of October,nature and weather is seldom normal though. Joe

I plant Kennebecs for late potatoes. I will be planting tomorrow. They are great keepers.

You can still get potatoes even if they are cut short by a frost. I'd do it if it were me.
