I rolled 108 bales yesterday. We had just enough drizzle today to keep me from doing anything but moving 120 or so off of a field.

Finished up 1st cutting today . 90s , humid , no cab or air but we have umbrelas and they help alot . The wind was blowing very hard and that made it feel abit cooler but we were baling very dry grass up on some hill tops and the windrows were blowing all over . Cousin ended up running the rake right in front of me but I still had to chase a few of them . All that wind a guy would think it was blowing in a storm but no such luck . Been windy and 90s for awhile , just dries things out faster .

Yesterday the sun was hot hay was dry, and then it was wet. I baled a load of small squares and when I started on the second, the hay, which when checked an hour earlier was dry, had sucked up moisture from the wet ground below. I jumped onto the rake tractor and turned the windrows but after 45 mins. it was not dry so I had to leave off for the day. Such is trying to make hay in New England. Dry here, 20 feet away, too wet.

Orchard grass and fescue mostly. It's about 95 here the past few days, and the cab is AC'd. Rolled about 90 bales yesterday and 120 a couple of days ago. Over 600 so far this year and about 30 acres to cut yet. Calling for showers Friday.
