O/T it just wont stop

Must be nice. Haven't seen any real rain in a few weeks and even then it was only about a 1/2 inch or so. Been way to hot and to dry here. Getting to the point we are 6 inches plus behind for the year and no hope in site

Same here Lyle, it's just crazy, 3 more inches last night, could start a boat rental business, or sell lake shore property. (smile)

I was complaining the same as you, we are the rare one's getting the rain on rain, too much.

But last night a hailsotorm went through at 3:00 in the morning, was 2 miles north of me, it sounds like it covered a 5 mile by 35 mile square, and it's just buzzed off the corn & beans like a flail mower. Something terrible.

I drove about 5 miles through it, couldn't stand any more, acre after acre of multch, smells like bad silage by this afternoon.

So, i'm gonna quit complaining. Had strong winds and .2 of rain, that's not bad when 2 miles away.....

They are saying one more night of storms tonight, to go through the area. Likemy aunt said, might as well hail some more in the same spot, can't do any more damage - but we know it'll hit a new spot tonight....

Nuttin wrong with the rain,i'm glad i'm getting some.
It beats drought by a country mile, and i was heading in that direction.

Here is how i see it,..no rain,...no grass no hay.
much rain,..lotsa grass....lotsa hay, but it could be bad hay,...still beats no hay at all

So quit yer wining and accept what God gives ye. :)

All depends where you are.... 'Here' inthe yelloow clay of southern MN, if it rains a lot I work 4x as hard, bust equipment, and get a 1/2 a crop.

If it's dry, I have 1/2 the work, no weeds, and get a half a crop but prices go up so I come out pretty good.

Dry is always better 'here', I hate mud.

But that is here, I understand if you are in a dry area....

Back in the 90s we had a severe hailstorm (unusual for here) that just touched the end of our field, about Sept first- cobs were set. Main route was parallel to the State highway. You could smell the fields just driving buy.

My thought is that at least it's not that clabbered rain you folks up there usually get. But that's just me.

With the smarts you sometimes show, I'm surprised you haven't figured out a way to bottle it and sell it to the indians.....

A guy told my Dad once if it didn"t quit raining he was going to go broke. Dad told him when it did quit he was in worse trouble.

Just north of you in Ontario we got hammered, and there's another possible deluge coming today. All this rain delays our hay over and over again.

Yea I'm waiting for enough dry days to get some hay done.......don't know if it's going to happen but what to do???? Sure beats being too dry.
