Got some rain out of this one. Only a bit less than half inch but will take it.

The pic doesn't pick up the light coming from between the layers. Except for the light it looked just like that as I was driving down Price Rd headed for Westphalia.

In 88 it didn't rain until mid-August. Corn we planted in one field didn't germinate until then. We saved it by putting it in the silo.

Grandpa's corn that year yielded 85. Beans ran 15. Harvest started in early August!!

Got 1/2" this morning, and now the humidity is back up again, on the boarder of Shiawassee and Ingham counties. I can hear the corn growing!

Was the picture from yesterday or this morning?
It was pitch dark in Ionia around 9:30 this morning, but I think we got more thunder and lightning than we did rain.

This is a borrowed pic off News10's face book. But was this morning. I saw these clouds about 10:30am today Monday. If I had taken the pic it would look exactly like this.

Grand daughter ( 3 ) saw this cloud near Wacousta and needed reassurance that all was ok. Could have used more rain, but appreciated what we got.

In 1988 I had corn that could only be cultivated by following the planter tracks,did not get rain until late august.Still can remember burnt grass smell when it started to rain.Scott

Close Gene, central lower Michigan about half way between Grand Rapids and Lansing just north of I-96.

Seems to be a bunch of us in Clinton, Shiawasee, Ingham, Eaton, Ionia, and Montcalm counties. I know rrlund and I have probably seen each other at the stockyard or JD dealer and not known it.
