My neighbour has a mill similar to that. I'm not sure how he adjusts it to cut boards true though, but he does a good job with it. He sells me lumber pretty cheap.

Lookin' real good! Pile that sawdust somewhere it's not in the way and let it decay for a couple years. Makes darned good mulch.

get that dust in a trough and get it away from the
mill , it will get hot after it gets wet .

Looking good ,, have you mastred the sharpening of the blade.. What kind of teet are you running.
Good looking lumber

havnt mastered sharpening the blade yet, Im trying to find a jockey grinder, I think that will make things alot easier. My saw doctor told me just to use soft teeth for now until I get the sharpening under control, I think thats a good idea.
Right now Im sawing up some poplar, I will be getting some spruce and pine soon. The bush is still to wet to get the logs out. There is alot of poplar up here, I can still make a product out of it, the oil companies like 3x12s for under thier 400 barrel tanks and they pay big money for them. The going price for a 3x12 is approx 800/thousand board feet.

Poplar was always trash wood here but recently, with the shortage of trees left in the forests here in the Maritimes, someone discovered poplar makes great pallets. Doesn't matter what kind of tree gets felled here now, someone will buy it. Now that NS Power wants biomass wood for electricity generation, won't be long before this place has been turned into a desert.........

Looks great! Another idea: place I work at sells their sawdust as animal bedding. It's not dried, but farmers buy 60 yard loads all the time. We can fill our semi dump trailer in about a day from sawmill operations.

Gotta tell ya, I see your name come up on here and I say to myself "What's that crazy so-and-so up to now?" lol Always look forward to your adventures. Or should that be misadventures? Beautiful countryside, sure wish I could get up that way some time.

Y'all have a good weekend!

have a market for some of the sawdust already, horsey people just down the road from me use it all the time. They raise about 60 horses and they are a top notch outfit.
Your always welcome up here thats for sure, it is nice country except for all the mud when it rains. I like the long days in the summer time.
For sure I do alot of different projects, I dont post alot of the things I do anymore cause some of the fellas got a little upset so I keep things down a little...lol
