Have the best Plum crop in years. Going to make 6 gallons of wine and still leaves plenty for eating. I think this is the best spring I have experienced but now it is very dry here (NW MO)- 40% chance of rain come Monday - last time we had rain was about 3 weeks ago and then it was only a trace. It's so dry my water guage shriveled up. Neighbor is having to replant 200 acres of beans IF we get some rain.

Great...!!!
When they are Ripe, crush then through a colander, into a filtering bag and add Pectin...
Several days later, squeeze the juice out..should be fantastic..!!
Won't take much sugar with Ripe Plums..!

I use 2# of sugar per gallon of cider from my apples for wine. Be sure to use a pectin compound specifically for winemaking with fruit. Winemakers yeast is also better. All of this stuff is readily available from any wine makers supply. I have been making wine from my own apples for many years using this method. Also use camden tablets to sterilize your containers to eliminate stray bacteria. Good luck with it, you'll have some great tasting wine from your own fruit.

Well-well-well...Bill...!!!!

Hope you and yours are doing FINE..!!!

I did not make any last year..but that does not mean I don't have some "Aging"...!!
2 to 3 years does make interesting changes..!!!

Hope to see you all sooner than later...!
Re-conditioning all 4 48" Bolens mower decks alone, has been a job..but I guess once every 10 years is worth it..they are all around 1977-1980 and plenty left in them yet..!
