When I used to go on the wheat harvest 20 years ago. We started about Decoration day weekend at Munday TX then would be in Seibert CO at the 4th of July. We would be in eastern ID in late August headed for The San Louis Valley in CO to cut wheat and dig spuds. We also hauled straw to the mushroom farm in Alamosa. Finished about Thanksgiving.

It is a younger mans game. The hours wear on you after the first month or 2. I have seen it when we cut for 30days straight without stopping, except to move to the next location.

I wore out a Gleaner F, I am perfectly happy to watch someone else do it.

A brand new Gleaner F was $39,980.

Think the new machines are a little more expensive now.
