Week before we had our granddaughter here for a few days, (5 yrs old today), This week we had her brother (8) all week. Man what a lot of fun we had, even some work around the house/garden and the farm but all was fun. Today is the GD's golden B day. Gonna be fun.
Tomorrow we leave for CO. to visit out daughter, Grandchildren, and great grandchildren, including a brand new GD.
And the weather has been and is forcast for great fun. Have I already died and gone to heaven or what.
By the way, wife will answer all cell calls when on the road (unless she is driving). Have fun and stay safe. Bob :p

LOL gotta love the grand kids. Yesterday my wife and I went shopping and ran into our daughter and my soon to be 5 yo grand daughter. When "Jo" saw me in the store she started dancing a jig and shouting "Pawpa" really loud! The Pawpa comes from my 9 year old grand son. When he was just starting to talk he was calling me grandpa. Then they went and visited his other grand parents. His other grandpa is kinda crabby. So Conner made the distinction of calling him grandpa and me pawpa. He is going to be here next week for most of the summer. He is going to start learning how to drive a tractor this year!

Bob have a great trip and enjoy those grand kids!

Enjoy the trip. I doubt if the combines will be in the area you're going through, unless you're going through Kansas, but if you see any, wave at them for me. Jim

Sounds like a lot of fun. I go to Grandparents University at MSU with my 12 year old grandson in two weeks, then we have our 9 year old granddaughter for a week. Last year she was fascinated with my truck cause it had crank up windows, not electric. Can't wait for this year!

12 year old Grandson has been coming to work with me and my
son this summer. Only a couple days a week but I think he is
learning a lot of "man" stuff being away from his mother for some
of the summer.

my first and only grand daughter so far will be here Tuesday. I haven't seen her since december, and she'll be having her first birthday here at our house.

Thanks for the responses, Wife answer's cell just so I dont get distracted. We take mostly side/back roads, go through Alma into Kansas and then to Burlington. Nice trip, one year we met combines and truck/trailers with headers. Found one header partly in the road, dont know if they ever went back for it or not. We'll wave at em. Bob

I've hauled combines through Burlington. Went on north to Wray and then west on 34 headed for Sterling Co. Got pulled over at a DOT check somewhere along that road. GRRR!

The one thing I remember about Burlington is it was HOT! Have a fun trip and make sure the air comditioning is in top shape. Jim

The TV said 91 in Topeka and 101 at Goodland. Was raking hay beside my wheat field wondering when the renter was going to cut it. Have a great trip.

No roads up there, any how with it being overrun by all those v1rgins you will probably have to book in prior to.
