charlynn vs behlen

what do ya"ll have and which one do you like better?I have a charlynn on my LP WD-45(front heavy)and as long as its rolling,pinky finger steering.I put a behlen on my 44 MH although steers easy not quit like the charlynn..could the behlen need rebuilt,different pump,I"m running the 44 off the tractor hyd.

I've got the Behlen on a '50 H. Works just like your Char-Lynn.

None of 'em work as good as the later, factory installed units.

My dad installed a behlen on his 1948 JD A, which is now mine. Doesn't matter if the tractor is moving or sitting still, it steers easier than my truck.

Give that puppy a dedicated pump(even if it is a used pump) and it will be a much better power steering system. The reason later tractors with factory power steering (starting with the 460/560 series[IH brand}) work better is because they had dedicated power steering pumps. Armand
