For those who know the area,I took a drive down 255 in Illinois today.Started thru the Mitchell bottoms and their cuttin wheat.Got home and checked the calender to make sure it was memorial Day and not 4th of july.

We just drove from Atlanta GA to Marion IL today, saw 2 wheat fields harvested. Some of the corn looks like it could use a rain.

Funney you guys mention the weather you guys got. I am in newhampshire I think we had the warmest winter on record. spring was very early o think we only had three our four snowfalls warmest winter on record for us Spring broke very early got hot then frosted apple crops grapes may be messed up for us up here maple season was very short. Most my friends have just started to plant corn and started grass chopping for first crop some people are trying to push haying all in all very weird weather being from the north we watch in shock of twisters in the south and in the last five years we have started to get them. To my fellow farmers big and small farms we all weather the storms stay strong

I test cut some wheat yesterday, never cut wheat in Kansas in May before. Dad will be 82 on the 12th of June and he has only cut 4 times in his lifetime of farming on or before his birthday. Very early harvest and it is very dry. Only a quarter of an inch of rain the whole month of May.
