I have a Ford 800 and I am confused because there are references on this sight about a Jubilee and they both look the same.
Can someone tell me the difference.

Jubilee was only made in 1953 and was fords golden anniversary tractor as in 50 years of building tractors. It has a 4 speed transmission and was the only model made that year. The engine is a 134 engine and has live hyd but not live PTO. The 800 series was built from 1955-1957. There where a number of models for the 800 series like the 820, 830, and the 840 all of which have a 4 speed but could be with out PTO or 3 point. There was also the 850 which had live hyds but no live PTO and then there was the 860 which had both live PTO and hyds and all of the 800 series have the 172 engine

My 800 is a 1954 according to the serial numbers. It also has live pto and hydralics.
Thanks for the reply.

We sold Ford tractors in those years. The tractor
shows as a '54 in many s/n books, but according
to Ford they are 55-57. I think the diff. comes
with the Ford Co. You can buy a new '55 car in
late 54 but that doesn't make it a '54. I still
have original Ford tractor parts books and they
only go by '55--and advertising the same. Confusing?? yes ,Chuck

The biggest difference between the NAA/Jubilees and the Hundreds is in the tranny and rear axle.
The Jube was something of a transition tractor. Ford grafted it's new OHV Red Tiger engine onto what was basically an N Series tranny and rear end. They added live hydraulics to them. They designed the cyclops front end and tin which they used all the way up to 1965. For 1955 they finally got rid of the N style rear end with the goofy, leak prone axles and used the style that they used all the way into the 80s.
The Hundreds got better hydraulics too and more tranny gears, possible live PTO and power steering.
They also made two different tractors - 600 and 800. 600 had the same 134 ci engine and 800 had a 172 plus a heavier rear end to handle the extra power.
NAA/Jube is a stepchild in some ways as the trannys/rear ends are exclusive for only those two years 53, 54. The Hundreds will pretty much swap out trannys and rear ends from 55 to 65 and thus are easier to find used parts for.
When you get used to them you can spot an NAA vs a Hundred from a block away as the NAA has the big nut on the rear axle that the Hundred does not have.
