284 lowboy carb kit

Trying to find source for carb kit for 284 ih lowboy . Any ideas ? did they use mazda motors ?

Oh yea, all the parts places . I can't find listing in my catalogs either . Seems IH used a 71 Mazda 1200 engine in those . IH wants $145 for a kit -ouch ! I really like the looks of those 284's but after finding what a nightmare they are for sourcing parts ,it's off my list of toys to get .

Have you investigated the satoh g650 carb kits on ebay? Seems like they should be a possibility ($85-$97).
