Ring End Gap

I was checking the ring end gap before installing pistons in the MH44. I can see how they would bind if not checked. They only had .007 total on a 4" bore.

I am going by the rule of .005 per inch of bore. I plan to set them at .020.

Industry standard is .003" to .004" end gap per 1" cylinder diameter.

Yes, .016 on top ring and .020 on second.
