O?T aircooler VW

Is anyone on this board interested in aircooled VW (beetles)? I just rebuilt a 1969 convertible and would like to get the operators manuel. Is there a seperate forum for aircooled beetles? thanks in advance

Been a couple decades ago that I messed with them a lot. Had some 8-10 of them at one time and sure wish I still had a couple of them. I may still have a couple of the old books around some place. One I had that I wish I still had was a 1957 tear drop rear window model

If I didn't have so many projects I would get a mid 60's VW myself. I had a couple years ago. What I liked about them is there were fairly easy to work on. The only car I owned where I could have the motor out in under 30 minutes by myself. Stan

Want to know anything in particular.?
I have a workshop manuals "cars upto 1959"
and Publication No46. 1954--1971
[series 1100,1200,1200A,1300, 1500.]

I changed one in a bank parking lot once after it dropped a valve at the stop light in front of the bank. Fortunately I had another engine at home. My brother picked me up so I could get the engine stands and jack. Changed it out and away I went.

Some of the fellows on here had them.I have a service manual some where.I just rode in one a friend had.I remember my nose being close to the windshield and wondering why anyone would buy one.
