tractor sat for 9years inside.ran when parked.oil pump in bell housing.new filter.does pump need to be pressure bled?any help appreciated. thanx

Some of the new filters have a problem with not building pressure. Search Allis filter no oil pressure and you will find a lot of info.
Pump may still need priming.

In addition to what others below have said, check the oil screen, and the suction pipe, for clogs or looseness. I've seen both affect oil pressure.

A number of things come to mind. You have to have the correct filter type or you will not have pressure Wix 57011 is one of the correct ones. #2 the tube that goes up in the filter some times stays with the old filter and then you have no pressure. Lose of prime can also do it but much less likely to be the problem more likely to be the other 2 I said

Pump can also be primed using an air over oil tank connected to the gage port. Check all the other comments, they are right in line.

Check the gauge too. Nothing worse than an oil pressure gauge that says there's no oil pressure when there is, except for when there really is no pressure!

this is what i did @it worked.i put a pipe nipple in bell hsg. and filled with oil then rotated engine backwards to draw oil into pump.i did it several times.started and now oil pressure.i like it when a plan comes together.thanx guys.
