Was about to buy a muchmower to pull behind the quad... Figured I'd run it by my neighbor kid first....
He said that it would just be a 1500 buck toy... And my quad isn't strong /slow enough (and only 2wd) to use it right...
He's already got an 8ft one that I can use on the tractor, but the trees are an issue.....
Now, he just boughta little 4wd vineyard tractor that he has been fixing up to sell (all tore apart in his shop replacing seals, etc...) Kind of a spur of the moment idea that I threw at him more as a joke was... Hey, keep this tractor, get a tiller and a mulcher for it and I'll just borrow it.... His old man got a big grin on his face cause he likes the little tractor... Upshot was, a 4ft flail mower/mulcher with hammer blades instead of Y knives and a 4ft tiller from a local store... Both new with a good gaurantee for not much more than that mower unit I was looking at cost.
I'll buy them both because I'll get a store discount and a couple of perks and he'll pay me..... Then, I just use the mower and small tractor whenever I need it..... We didn't talk about it, but I'll pay half of the total.... That'll still be half what I was just about to pay for the other unit used with no gaurantee (prolly chinese also).....
Finally a chance to pay him back a little for all the help over the years and be able to take care ov my pastures also....
Aaaaaaand.... I got the invoice emailed to me for the power steering.... Just have to transfer the money and it'll be delivered in a little over a week.......
