Any idea about this?

Hi all, was out turkey hunting this weekend and came across this old thing that is now a mailbox stand. Looks pretty cool and seems to be a single cylinder. Any idea what it was used for? And is it actually a tractor? Never heard of the manufacturer. Thanks! Tom

looks like a old hit or miss engine thrown atop a mowing machine frame. Don't know about the steering wheel.

Yes, and no drive train but nice decoration.

I have a Witte engine like the picture. The reason for the water tank on top being slanted on top is mine is mounted on a drag saw and when sawing logs the water won't slop out even if the engine is not level.
