I hate you. The War Department saw that shop and asked why mine didn't look like that---

Iwish I had a shop as nice as yours! But then again,I am not very good at all when it comes to mechanic work,I wish I could, but I usually do more damage than good when I try to fix something, my brother is a good mechanic here in nj, and in pa the neighbor farmer helps me out,

Hi Larry, your statement at 57 and still doing this scaffolding projects. I am 74 and done the same thing with my chimney last fall. I use to think the same way a few years ago that I would not tackle any more projects like those. Time goes by and you continue with some of these projects and think to yourself thats the last time I am going to do that type of job. A person is fortunate thay can continue a hard day's work. Cheers, Murray

I started working in construction at 13 yrs old and was never hurt too bad over the years until 3 yrs ago this Aug. when a scaffold I was working on tipped over dumping me about 20 ft to the ground. I landed feet first breaking bones in my left knee and right ankle. Wasn't able to walk for 3 months. Be carefull. Chimney looks real good.

thanks for the great advice, hope all is well now,I was on a job for an eight story senior citizen apartment building about 12 years ago,and a scaffold collapsed and a friend of mine got killed and 3 other guys got hurt bad,I was on the other side of the building on a manlift doing the punch list when it happend,That was the last piece of the building to do,we had been laying brick for months

About this time 3 yrs ago I layed up a brick chimney on my house by my self. I used my tractor loader to stock brick and then mix a bucket of mud and run it up. I don't think I could do that now with a plate and pins in my knee.

Pic one.
when I say that wheel up there it reminded me of the song which concludes "hope you will understand, why murphy is not at work today."
His battle with the bricks and wheelbarrow.
