Tractor Tires - 14.9x24 vrs 14.0x24

I need some newer tires for my MF35 utility, currently have 14.9x24

have seen some 14.0x24 R4 tires at a decent prices but they seem a lot taller than my old tires even allowing for the wear

seems the 14.0 would be smaller

R4 indicates an industrial tread, so they may not work well for what you are trying to accomplish. They're meant for road graders or backhoes, not farm tractors.

Traction in mud will be nonexistent, as the treads are much too close together and much too wide.

The R4 tires have a higher ply rating too, and will be much more difficult to mount if not impossible, if you planned on doing it yourself.

These "decent prices" must be for USED tires?
