Color for killbros wagon?

Just a quick question. What shade of orange is the closest match for a Killbros 350 wagon? Allis or Case flambeau? I bought this old wagon with a seed auger on it and the wagon's paint was bubbling off pretty bad, probably from being pulled on salty roads in the winter. I hit it hard with the 4000lb pressure washer with rotary nozzle and that blew away anything loose. A little sanding in a few places will have it ready for the paint. Gotta get-er-done now so it can harden a few days before seed beans go in it. There's nothing like waiting till the last minute!! Jim

MY best understanding is that Killbros wagons are painted Allis Chalmers ornage. That is color I'd use, at least. -Andy

I've painted three of them with Allis paint from TSC. The first one was over ten years ago. It could use a repaint job but it lives outside and I haul fertilizer with it alot. The other two I did about eight years ago and they still look good. I keep them inside though.

Looking at the forecast it looks like you have plenty of time to paint that wagon.

How is the planting progressing in your part of the state?

Corn is coming along well. A few early birds planted April 11 and that corn is peeking through, but most of us got going on corn last tuesday. There are no beans in that I know of. I've had 4.4" of rain in the last couple of weeks and it's VERY welcome. We're still listed as severe drought but they might be backing away on that. If we get rain all week it won't bother me one bit. Jim

Allis is what I've had in mind, not that it matters all that much, but I'd like to have it correct. This thing will be out in the sun no more than four days out of the year so the new paint should outlast me. I plan on using good quality paint with hardener. Jim
