I got a call that I have been waiting for the last year. My son is in the Minnesota National Guard and flew back to the good ol' USA this morning to Maine. He will be going to Mississippi for a while then return back home. Talk about tears of joy! I am so excited. This is his 2nd tour of duty in Kuwait/Iraq. God bless him and the rest of our wonderful, brave troops.

Larry,
Thank you for the kind words. I know there are many of you parents out there that have had the same feelings. I appreciate your kindness.

Thank him for his service,,,,,,,

"All gave some, some gave all"

I remember when our Marine son was in Iraq way back when it just started and I remembered seeing all those old war movies where the telegram arrived or a military car drove up in the driveway.........Anytime I heard a car it was miserable during those times

God Bless him

Give him our thanks for the service he has done for our country! We are greatful to have such fine men and women serving our country. Enjoy your time you have with him. God Bless, Gregg

Kow Farmer,

I was in the Navy during the Vietnam War but I never got to within a thousand miles of any one who was shooting at anyone.

I have the greatest respect for the men and women who do the "heavy lifting" of combat.

Thanks to you and your son for this sacrifice.

Tell him thanks for me too.I know what its like,I was in Nam,Kinda hard to readjust after being in a war zone.I nearly did myself in after i got back.Keep an eye out for him. Hoss

Great to hear he's home safely. My Dad was a WWII vet, I was a Vietnam Navy vet, as my brother was a Vietnam Army vet. My Marine nephew came back from his second tour in Iraq just over two years ago, and just graduated from Randolph- Macon College in Virginia. Encourage him to pick up his GI benefits and go to school. We're all proud of them- I know you are.

Praise the Lord! I know you are happy beyond words. As others have said, thank him for me.

He and his fellow soldiers are the reason I sleep well. They are the ones standing in the gap and keeping this country safe.

Tell him Welcome Home from an old V/N vet. We are all proud of him and his brothers & sisters still over there. Lord knows I wish we could and would bring them all home.

Tell him "THANK YOU"
I'm glad to see I'm not alone in doing so. Although I never thought I would be the only to do so in this group.
I'm happy for you and his family he made it home ok.

Along with so many others here, please thank him deeply for serving our country! You must be so proud.

Congrats! Please tell him thanks for my family, friends, neighbors, and nation.

My guess is flew into Bangor? Ask him if they still sell live lobsters in the lobby. I don't know if were supposed to put them in the overhead luggage, in the pocket or what.

Again though, congrats and much thanks.

Mark

First, thank him for his service. Great to have him back safe. Next, keep pounding on him that we're loosing too many shortly after they come home. We lost a nephew to a drunk driver, six months after his second tour in Iraq.

Tell him THANKS from cIllinoiz for his service!

Nephew is in Afganistan? with the Army - Coming home in July. He missed his Grandpa's funeral (BIL's side) while there but seems to like it. Quit Perdue ROTC and school to go into training.

My brother and I feel very fortunate that we were just a "LITTLE" too young for Vietnam.

Glad to hear that your son is coming home soon. You tell him thanks for doing the job of keeping us safe.

We all hear of some idiot that acted in some thing or sung some song but we never hear of the real super stars among our young men and women!!!

Kow Farmer, Good to hear your son is coming home. My youngest son is serving in the Navy currently. Thank you and him for his service to us all. May God bless you and your family.
