OT Spraying the lawn

I got my little 50 gallon sprayer out this spring to spray some weed-b-gone on the lawn. Not pictured but I drug a 12ft 2x10 behind my sprayer. The board goat soaked with the spray from being drug thru the grass just aft the spray. It helped rub some of the herbicide onto the underside of the dandelion leaves and my yard has never looked this good. I have two flood jet nozzles on my little 3ft boom. It sprays a good wide pattern and overlaps in the middle. I put a elect solenoid valve in the boom circuit and ran a trailer plug to my lawn tractor and hooked it in to my head light switch. Made it really handy. Just thought I'd pass this little tip on to everyone...!

Good tip. I spray pastures, too, with a "broad jet" sprayer. Not only would dragging a board of the proper width help with contact, it would also sure help see where you've been. I do it when grass isn't very tall, so very hard to see your tracks. Tried adding the blue dye, didn't help a bit.

Thanks,
My uncle gave me the tank and pump years ago. I built the little trailer for it. The tank and main frame can be taken off the axle and put in a pickup truck and the 4-flat trailer plug use to plug right into my trailer harness and I could turn on my parking lights to activate the boom. But I don't have a truck any more.

I added a removable bolt on extension to the back of my JD lawn tractor, the 15 gal tank that is strapped to it is mighty handy. added a switch to the dash and a quick disconnect at the tank for the electric pump. Since the tank doesn't get in the way of anything it has never been removed since I mounted it years ago. You can see the mounted tank on the JD in front of my truck.

Somebody might want them David Bradley wheels, they look like they are in good shape. I mounted a 25 gallon electric sprayer on my 4' tph mounted bush hog. Killed the heck out of briers and weeds on an old gravel pit, that I cut for hay. Almost as slick as your board trick.
