Fertilizer pumps for JD 7000 planters

I have a John Blue squeeze pump on a 7000 JD planter for pop up fertilizer. Are there other options out there for liquid fertilzer on 7000 planters? The problem with the squeeze pump is that is affects the finger pickup unit accuracy that runs off the same transmission.

Check with JD....two of us bought a 7000 6rn on a consignment auction- I wanted the planter, he wanted the JD liq attachment, he offered a 50/50 split when I first met him (through a stranger I had met earlier that day, who knew him and knew what he was there for)-met him about 3 minutes before the auctioneer got to it. I let him bid, said I won"t bid against you...and we talked about dollar limits in that short visit.

"we" got it for 2650. I had no idea what JD got for liq, (I think he was talking around 3500) but he was more than happy. He got the JD trans driving the liq, few years later I added dry fert to my cheap planter, paid 275 for a used transmission, boxes and openers were about a grand, used.

Bidder was from SD, he pulled it home, took off all the liq attachment, I went 100 miles few days later to trailer it home. Handed him an envelope upon leaving, with a couple bens inside, said to take the mrs out. He was a young dairy farmer in tough times, I had just quit that after 30 years, mostly roller coaster prices. Also bought the intermediary a steak dinner when he left the sale.

That was an extremely lucky deal- getting a 7000 6rn for 1325. I had talked to the seller before- he had monitor problems, didn"t always work. My JD tech son brought test equipment, checked ok, found that it works fine if I plug it in, then retract the connector about 1/8 inch. Works since about "03!

BTW- a possible source for the transmission you need----same as the dry fert, drives off a different shaft than seed final- google Haukos Bros, Glencoe, MN.
