Dad and I busted our butts Friday and Saturday, and we managed to get all of our oats, oats & peas, and peas & tritical in the ground. We planted much more than we normally do, but we've got some hay feilds now that looked pretty poor last year that will see the plow this year after 1st crop is off.
We've also got a peice a gentleman is letting us crop that used to be a tree farm, and still has some trees in it that they're spading out as sold. All told, somewhere between 7-9 acres there.
All told, wheel bearings went out on the field cultivator when I was almost done (kept going to get finished), and broke a spindle on the 1855 when it dropped into a 1/2 filled tree hole mid turn (robbed one from our 1755 in the weeds, and then drug lots of dirt over the hole with the springtooth and filled it in more)
A few other minor issues, but we managed to get it all in before the rain came.
Next is to fix the manure spreader and work on corn in a few weeks.
