Posted this morning about fences being cut, went out to one pasture and took all the rope/tape away because I was gonna replace that fence anyway. Came back home for lunch, went back after doing something else and about 200 yards away from the pasture next to the road was an old dump rake that had been there before I got here, laying across it was about 20 naked tposts from my pasture. Guy that owned the rake lives about 500 yards away so I went to his house, he didn#t know what was up so called the cops. Guy just showed up with a trailer about 30 minutes ago to load everything up. Told the cops that the posts were just sticking there with no fence and the rake was shot....
What you folks call a BTO that just bought a couple rows of fruit trees in the area...... Don't know what'll happen, but he'll sure be known in the area and I may get some new posts out of it.....

is not that stealing. We had almost the same
problem here a house got sold on the corner of my
one farm the first owner of the land cut it out 40
years ago when he first bought the land the new
owner thought where ever he looked he could roam
with out asking everybody land was his to wander
on without asking his excuse was I live in the
city before I moved here so I don't have to ask he
tells us he knows the law and can do what ever he
wants and nobody can stop him. and he even had a
better one time he didn't have to ask because he
was a federal employee (he was in the army for 2
year 18 years ago)he went on the wrong land one
time belonging to an older man the old guy pulled
a shotgun on him and told him I shot first and ask
questoin later no more roamig after that.

In Nebraskaland magazine a few years ago, they told about a fella who shot a deer out in Wyoming.

He laid his rifle on the deer and walked a quarter of a mile back to his pickup to get some rope to make a harness to drag the deer easier. When he got back to the deer, his rifle was gone.

Thinking he may have taken the rifle back to his pickup and left it, he walked back to the pickup but, no rifle. He then went back to get the deer, and found the deer gone.

At that point, all he could do was depart the area, and, you guessed it, his pickup was gone.

Guess he should have stayed in bed that morning.

Of course it's stealing......... This guy own's rents the majority as far as acres in this area so folks think whatever he is doing is ok and on his place... Not real well liked because he has different programs he participates in that makes neighboring fields etc have to comply to an extent. And he's organic so gets twice + the subsidies others get.

I used to work with a guy that was the king of lies. One day he told a new guy that the railroad had changed out the railroad ties.On the tracks by his house. Said he could have them for hauling them off. New guys shows up spends all day loading his trailer.Railroad cops show up. Arrest him and his crew.Locks up their trucks and equipment. They spent the weekend in jail. There was some real tense moments when the two met at work that week.

Had the same problem here wife came home from work early one day here the neighbor walking out of the shed with a 5 gallon can of gas gave her a line of bull and put it back. Two day my son had my trucj and I was waiting for a ride to work there he is trying to get into the farm diesel bulk tank I had him arrested after that no more thing came up missing it the area.

I prefer to get even legally of course. Like the time the
neighbor kids were stealing the bulk farm gas for there dirt
bike so we ran the tanks dry and switched them funny a
2stroke dirt bike don't run long on diesel never did see the bike
again not sure if ruined it or not
