$8300 Super H

Joke if you want to,but I saw one bring $4200 on a farm auction not too many years ago.
Must be the one you're talking about has been adjusted for inflation.

just how mutch do you think it was to make that tractor like that,i once sold a H for 5000 had a ton of money and hours into it

I have an idea just how much it cost because I have one that has been completely redone and is as nice as that one. I don't however and wouldn't leave it on if I did have the wide front. We all know that in this tractor biz unless you have something quite rare the value tops out no matter how mmany bucks you toss in or how nice you make it. I wouldn't sell mine for $4200 but I wouldn't insult anyone by asking that much either...it's a Super H for Keerist's sake.

Jakiee-bub-

Here's the "real world" scoop on this topic.

That is a beautiful Super H. I love Farmalls. I grew up on a Famall M. BUT-One can easily put $7500.00 into restoring a Farmall M and when you are all done, the market says that you now have a (maybe, if you are lucky)---max, a $4500.00 Farmall M.

Yes, there are the occasional isolated incidents where someone will buy a tractor like that. But 95% of the time, they won't.

And yes again---I've got a slight clue re: how much it costs to do what he did to that Super H. (JD 70, JD A, Farmall Super C, Farmall Super H, Farmall Super M.

Bottom line, now Jaker, if you have been able to stay with me: most people who restore tractors do it as a labor of love and know full well that they will never get out of the tractors what they put into them.

Now-he might get lucky and sell that tractor. More power to him. But--ahh, never mind. Read this post from the top again.
