Info on a odd tractor please

I came across a Nuffield 1060 tractor today, has a loader and a 3pt hitch , diesel engine, are they hard to find or worth anything to pick up, tractor is complete but not running. Thanks

I believe they where made in England.Goggle is your friend.

Manufactured by The British Motor Corporation. Model 10/60 was tested at Nebraska between 6 and 12 August of 1965. Test #907. Probably a rare tractor, at least "over here". Probably not worth much unless you can find someone who really "needs" one. Just my guess.

"Not running" was a common condition with them.

Friend had one- the entire steering column came off in his hands as he was going down a hill. Gave him a few anxious moments. Later he told me, "Luckily, I was not able to find parts to repair it, so sent it off to the knacker with a clear conscience."

Prone to breakdowns or not, perhaps that's exactly why there may be few left over here. I would keep it and see if you can make progress with it. Wouldn't that be great if you post a video here with the ole one running like a charm....?
