MF-65 Front Bucket

mf-65

I am looking at a front bucket off a mf-50. will this fit my mf-65-it has 2 sections, one has the controls & the fluid goes in the tubular steel, and the other section is the bucket? It has a hyd. pump with it but how does it fit to the tractor?

Putting a front pump on an early 65 can be tricky. The steering arm under the front bolster will hit the pump shaft when you turn all the way to the left. This was corrected on later models by using shorter arms on the top of the spindles. We learned this the hard way.

is there another way to hook up a pump?

What year is your 65? The problem I mentioned only pertains to early model 65s and 50s. It can be cured by replacing the arms on top of the spindles with the newer style. The only other option would be a pto pump.

I'm guessing 1958. serial# SGM658123

would the pto hydraulic pump strong enough to handle this? I can look thru the hole & the steering arm does not go thru the hole. Ive read some other post & they say I need a Front Mounted Hydraulic Pump Adapter Plate hooked to the front pulley.

just checked the opening with a 3/4" rod thru it & it does hit on the spindle turning left.

update: got the first section of frame that holds oil to rear end-had to make extension cause the mf-50 must be shorter. decided to go with hooking vickers 20 hyd to rear pto. any opinion of anybody doing this? I dont need pto for mower, etc.
