Looking at a Super M that has a serial number F 3756 J. What does the J stand for?

Are you sure it's a J?
My book says that stands for "various French company products"

X1J stands for "gasoline, 7-mph high-speed gears, 5,000-foot high altitude"

on a super m the j stands for rockford clutch. nothing special, a lot of them had this.

On Smokestak there was the same question regarding the J and the answer is found in Fay"s Farmall Letter Series book and it is for Rockford Clutch.
