I have wanted to check the draw bar pin on one of my discing tractors for a long time. Today I tackeled it. I pulled the pin out, and most of the wear was on the draw bar hole, so I found a good used one, turned the pin, and put it back in. Good for another 40 years. I will never see that pin again. I also changed the water pump on my old chevy flat bed I use to haul the tractor. It should also last my life time. I was going to change the trans fluid in my MF, but that will be another job for tomorrow. Any one of you do anything today you kept putting off? Stan

Sure did. Had a wall in the barn that's seen way too many years of manure and cattle rubbing on it. There's a bull pen on one side and the cattle in the finishing pen get inside on the other side. I got all the manure dug away from that today and put new treated center match up 3 feet high. Have to re cover a few feet above it tomorrow with either wood or steel, but I've been looking at that mess for way too long now. Wanted to finally get it done before I plant corn and start haying.

I've been putting off putting a new ring gear in the 450 for a while. It is now to the point where it has to be pull started.

The wife had Thursday and Friday off so I cleaned out the shop, one pickup load to the dump and another to the scrap yard and now I can fit two tractors and a pickup in there. The shop hasn't been that clean since we bought this farm in 2007.

Saturday the wife did an excellent job driving the tow vehicle and the 450 started before we were out of the shed. I backed it into the shop under her own power, hopefully she will pull out of the shop in better shape in a few days.

Tonight I laid down an old rusty bulk bin so I can salvage the 4 in angle iron to use for my splitting stand.

This is the first time I've split one so it will be a learning experience for sure.

I took the head off a mazda engine tonight thats been in the shop for 2 years. Head gasket went out and didn't feel like opening it up in the truck so put a spare engine in I had sitting around at the time. About a month ago the running engine blew its head gasket so replaced that in the truck to get it back on the road, so I thought I should get after this one since its still fresh in my head. And when the timing chain goes out on the running engine I'll swap the engine I'm working on now into the pickup. 1984 B2000 gas. chris

Dads WD45 quit because of rust in the gas tank 10 years ago, will get that out of the timber next week. Hd6g crawler has the right steering clutch stuck, B ac needs split and a new ringgear put on the flywheel, rear tine tiller bought at a sale needs attention, getting it now.

Need to rebush a loader, I bought the bushings 3 years ago, can't seem to find the time and its not my favourite loader tractor since the joystick cables are buggered up.
