Leatherman guarantee revisited

Broke my Leatherman tool the other day - broke the pliers nose. At the advice of the guys here, I sent it in. Printed their return form off their online site. Today, about a week and a half later, I have my unit back, rebuilt: New pliers, new knife blade, new file, new probe tool. Can't beat that for service. I really like my unit, as it does about anything I need out of a pocket tool, yet is very compact. I can carry it in a pair dress pants, with no embarassing bulge. Have been carrying a Schrade this week, and it's a nuisance! Gald to have mine back. Unfortunately my unit is "retired" and I don't see anything in their current line that takes it's place.
 
They replaced all those extra parts for free? Wow! Almost wanna buy one and break it and send it in just for fun!
 
They have replaces two of my four. I ALWAYS have on on my belt(Work or dress). forgot and had one on when I went to the airport. Ran clear back to the truck in the parking lot, took a chance of missing flight, but I was not going to give it up. Wife and each employee carries one. Also keep one in my flight bad.
 
Another lifetime guarantee product that will never cost you a penny (save the shipping) to repair is a Zippo lighter. I've carried one for years even when I didn't smoke. Not sure about their knives and such but I would surely think the same about those. Made just to the east of me in Bradford, PA. Stanley thermos's are also guaranteed forever. I'd feel just about undressed without either one of those things! Kippster
