My Wife just learned her 33 yr old brother back home in Sicily has MS ,More tests are still needed to confirm ... ,The News was Terribly upsetting for her ,and her Mom , she left sicily the year after he was born,, only going home 4 times over the yrs.. my Sara would make it a month long visit each time ...

Hope everything works out, but it doesn't seem to be the end of the world.. They show a commercial about it here that shows folksthat have had it for 50+ years. Guess it effects everyone different tho.....

Sorry to hear about your BIL. My retired co-worker stopped by several weeks ago to show me his new Dodge pickup. He told me he has Parkinson's disease. He said he can't bait his fishing hook anymore. He's 73 and in 1962 he was hired as a 2 year apprentice and I trained him in instrumentation and operating the heavy field dynanmometers. He had just been discharged from the Air Force after serving 4 years. Hal

Now go back to tooltalk and don't hijack threads here.....

Doctors pull off some pretty good stuff these days and since he's in europe, there he'll have a good pick of the crop......

Prayers sent. I certainly hope it turns out to be a mild case. It's life altering no matter how mild it is, tho. Jim

we will send prayers My mom had ms since she was around forty five or fifty, she passed away at eighty three just last year, some help has been dicoverd for ms ,keep the faith

PRAYERS SENT! Gods blessing will be there for him as we all agree that where 2 or more pray and ask God for anything it will be done. I feel all of us here are asking God to heel him. Regards, Wayne

I believe Dave's comment was well thought and encouraging. He is also correct, many advances have been made, and many are just now in testing that have great promise. You turned the corner on this. Jim

It is true that each case is individual, there are aggressive cases and mild cases, so keep positive . It is a lesson for us all just how precious life and health is. I lost a sister to this disease, but I also know some others that are getting along very well with only limited effects. It varies greatly from person to person so don't give up hope.

That's OK Dave..only a coward would stand, and hide
behind names...It takes a man to get on his knees
and pray

For the original post... Prayers are sent .

So your an expert on the subject now Dr. dave2 In
fact my sister has MS. While advances are being
made, there are still people suffering/dying from
it. It would have been much better to leave the end
of the world comment out because it was insensitive
and wasn't necessary. I wish the best for this
person and hope they get better.

That's a tough one. In my shop over the last year I beefed up two walkers for a guy whose daughter has it. She has had it since she was young and now she is a pretty big gal in college. She loves them two walkers so instead of getting larger weight appropriate ones, I just strengthened her smaller ones. I wanted to add strength while keeping them as light as possible and still collapsible for transport. Then as luck would have it, about a month after that someone backed into one in a parking lot at school. So Dad brought it back to see if it could be repaired. I spent a lot of time and a little material and got it back in perfect repair. Problem for me was handing him the repair bill after he had already spent more then they were worth beefing them up. I adjusted my bill down a little from standard rates but still made a little money on the job.......what to do. I guess the moral to my story is this gal is a very intelligent young woman leading a very productive life in a society.

This A M after church , I showed this post to my Dear Sara.. She wanted me to Thank All of You terrific Guys out There for your prayers, well wishes , and testiment,,,. She was especially touched to tears with the comment "When 2 or more ask in My Name , I will hear their prayer ",, Again THANK YOU All ,, And SARA and i Hope You have a Glorious Easter ...
