Does anyone know anything about a program called dropbox that can be used to store and send documents and pictures. I was told it is a free program and does not tie up other e-mails for sending items. Thanks Amo.

I use it all the time in college. It's an online file database. I think you get like 2GB for free. You can share files with other users. All you need to sign up for it is an E-mail address. I have no complaints about it.

I use Dropbox for some things. Have not had any issues with it. Really handy. Can designate folders on your computer to be kept current so that whenever a file is revised/updated it updates the folder on Dropbox so others you designate can see the current version.

There is another service (also free)called FilesAnywhere that also comes in handy. Especially nice to be able to fax from your smart phone.

I've used Dropbox for a couple years to share large data files (engineering data and photos) with several of my customers. Also to share photo files with my kids scattered around the state.

DB works great! MUCH easier and faster than burning files to DVD/flashdrive to send by mail. And the price is right (2 gigs of storage for free).
