Newsman stated that there were 12 tornadoes in N Texas yesterday. I think the one in Forney was the worst one. It demolished(flattened) several homes.

Those were the (short-lived)Greer County, OK tornadoes in the Reed/Mangum/Willow area Sunday a couple weeks ago (3-18-12). Couldn't resist and took these pics. First one is just west of the Granite "Y" (283/34 and 9), second one NW of Willow.

The most damage was done in Lancaster just west of where we are. News this morning said 600+ homes & businesses damaged or destroyed. Tornado was rated an F-2.

Last night the news confirmed 8 tornadoes. 7 were F-2. The one that hit Forney was an F-3, but it wasn't on the ground very long. The Lancaster tornado was on the ground the longest which is why it did the most damage.

It was the worst outbreak of severe weather for over a decade.

Yeah, it was nerve wracking to say the lest.

I'm working up here on central and park lane, Jen in downtown Fort Worth and the babies down in Navarro county.

Watching the radar yesterday sure made me wish I had all my eggs in one safe basket ...sort to speak.

I'm glad everyone faired well on the forum. I'm still amazed there was no loss of life.
