Far as I can tell all is OK here on the farm in NE Texas.

Just got an email from Nancy about 20 minutes ago from downtown Dallas:

[b:654c4848f0][i:654c4848f0]Weather reports 2 confirmed tornadoes in DeSoto/Lancaster. Been watching the radar on weather.com. Storm cell went right over Hutchins. Really glad I added the extra straps. Will know more when I get home. Weather in motion radar map shows storms hitting downtown around 5:00. If that holds true, will stay here until it passes.

Weather in motion radar map shows some nasty stuff headed your way later this evening. Might want to get the Dodge and car under cover.

Thanks for asking. The cell that spawned the tornadoes went over our home in Hutchins. Won't know how bad it was till I get home tonight.

Weather in motion radar shows these storms are building. Another large cell will pass right over our house in Hutchins and a heavy line passing through downtown Dallas right at quitting time.

As I told James, if its bad, I will wait to get home.

Go to wfaa.com. They have video of the tornado sucking up 18 wheeler trailers and tossing them around like Tonka toys.
 
Nancy just called from Hutchins and said all is OK at the house and barn; no damage to our property in the Dallas area.

The weather system arrived here at the farm in NE Texas about 5 minutes ago.

Don't know how long power will last, so I'll send out this S.O.S. before it really hits the fan.

Probably hide under the bed until this passes over.

Later this morning I'll take a tractor ride and check for any wind damage here on the farm.
 
Nancy glad to hear you and James are ok. From what I saw it went right up the loop through where I used to live in Dallas. I lived off of the Dallas side of Centerville road. Up by Garland Road and LBJ. Been trying to contact my neighbor up there. To check on them.Looks like it just missed your place.
