John Deere Model A

No way to get the ser#. Only thing you can do is look at a parts book and narrow down to year that way. K&K Antique Tractors have radiator cores at a reasonable price.

If you're lucky and still have a radiator shop nearby, take it there, preferably let an "old timer" work on that old radiator, he probably fixed many in his life time and knows how to do the job right if it can be repaired.

If there is no tag at all, then no way to get a serial number. A parts book may get you halfway close by looking at various features on the tractor, but sometimes things have been changed in the 60+ years since it was built. A Guru, who is on here sometimes, has some casting codes from the main case that might get you even closer. But there is no way to find an actual serial number without knowing the total history of the tractor once the tag is gone.
